The Pharazain Rebellion was a revolt led by general An-Pharzin of Bellakar against Ar-Zagamakhan I after he started stripping away the lands of nobles who he disliked. An-Pharzin nearly turned the whole country against Ar-Zagamakhan at first, but the rich king bribed many of the defectors to rejoin them and built up a sizeable army. An-Pharzin, knowing he was losing, hired a powerful mercenary company from the Chyan lands, the feared Tedjin. With them he won control of almost all of Bellakar, but when he was unable to deliver their payment they turned against him, establishing their own regime under the Kataj Batou Jochea, which ruled until the 600s when the Black Numenoreans finally won the power back.
